The non - competitive age groups are drawing to a close for season 2023, and last week saw the last of the U9s (2014 born) and U10s (2013 born) arranged matches. Coaches are planning on a blitz for each age group to round off the season and will continue with training til these are in place.

Our U9s played their final game vs Avenue United @ Roslevan on Monday 21st. There is lots more to come from this group, and they will see more action next year when their matches move to a weekly basis.

Our U10s were hosts to Coole FC in their final match on Wednesday 23rd. In a very close game, our young players created many many chances but couldn't find a way past an inform Coole keeper.

Kildysart U11s 1-2 Avenue united Yellow U11s

Our U11s were in action vs Avenue United in the Semi Final of the U11 Cup on Thursday 24th. Kildysart went ahead halfway through the first half through a Nicholas Connelly strike. Avenue drew level with five minutes til half time with some sustained pressure.

The second half saw more pressure brought on Kildysart and they were able to withstand it but without getting forward enough. Avenue got the breakthrough with 10 minutes left and forced Kildysart to attack more. Avenue sat back and packed their defence as a result but unfortunately we were unable to find a way through.

This group have had a great year and will only get better. Up next for them is the National Cup coming at the end of this month
